Fashion | Xmas Party Dress Picks

It's christmas time and you know what that means, christmas party time! I have selected 5 different styles of dresses to give you ideas of what to wear this time of year.

1. I have selected this beautiful red lace dress from Topshop. Its a body-con style dress, ideal for any christmas party, and a beautiful festive colour. Click here for the link.

2. Another lace dress this time in black, a classic little black dress from Topshop also. If you want a classic this dress is perfect and would go with many different accessories. I think it could also be worn at other times of the year as well as christmas. Click here for the link.

3. Now this one will dazzle everyone! If you are daring why not go for a sparkling sequin dress from H&M. I particularly love the colour of this dress as it isn't a typical christmas shade. A very special dress for a very special time of the year. Click here for the link.

4. This dress is also from H&M another lace number this time with a floaty skirt and long sleeves. If your not keen on wearing the body-con style dress this style would work for you. This is my favourite style of dress and I love the shade of green. Click here for the link.

5. Lastly a gold embellished dress from New Look. This is another glitzy dress, a little bit more subtle than the sequin number. This is a beautiful dress and would be perfect for a christmas do. Click here for the link.

And thats all the dresses I picked, obviously there are so many more styles but I hope this gives you some ideas for the Christmas and New Year party season!

Merry Christmas everybody, thank you for always taking the time to read my blog posts! I am going to have short break from blog posting until the 2016, stay tuned to my facebook page or on my instagram page for my next blog post!

Make Up | Rouge Edition Velvet Nud-ist, Bourjois

I bought a red lipstick from this collection and I love it so much I wanted to purchase an everyday shade. I went for the shade Nud-ist. It is a pink-nude which I find suits me very well.

This lipstick is so long lasting and I love having a matte alternative to wear. It goes with a lot of make up looks which I like to wear. I would say you need to make sure to keep your lips moisturised when wearing matte lipsticks, as this lipstick on dry lips will only draw attention to that.

I think this lipstick is very versatile and it can be worn during the day and night. Its a gorgeous shade and I would highly recommend giving this lipstick ago. There are so many shades to choose from as well as the two I have posted about.

Thanks for reading as always!

Make Up | Beauty Haul

I bought a few new items recently, and thought I would share with you what I got!

First of all, I wanted a christmas nail polish shade, I bought this glittery Barry M Nail Polish in the shade Ruby Slippers. I think this is an amazing shade, I was thinking I could paint one nail this colour and the rest in a matte shade. Or just paint all my nails totally glittery! I am very excited to try out a few ideas with this polish.

Secondly, I purchased another Bourjois Velvet Edition lipstick in the shade, Nud-ist. I love the red shade I have so much I wanted to purchased an everyday shade to wear. Stay tuned for a full review of this product in a blog post coming soon!

Lastly, I bought a Define & Conquer Contour Kit by Seventeen. I wanted a matte bronze shade to create definition for the winter months. This kit is perfect especially for on the go. One side is the matte bronze shade and the other side is a setting powder. I got this in the shade Fair, as I have pale skin. I would recommend this product.

And that was everything I bought, I am very excited to get started with these products!

Fashion | Christmas Gift Guide

For today's post I thought I would talk about possible christmas gifts. I wanted to talk about three different options both for him or her.

1. The first great present you could purchase for someone is one of the many gift sets at The Body Shop. The one I have selected is the Fuji Green Tea set, this is an amazing scent that most women would love. This is perfect if you are buying for someone who you are not too sure what they would like, who wouldn't love a beautiful toiletry set from The Body Shop. In the set you get a shower gel, body butter, body scrub and a mini shower lily. Click here for a link to this product.

2. The second item from the same genre of gifts is a mens gift set from The Body Shop. This one is called Modern Gents's Pool Party Rescue Kit. It comes with an energising face wash and a face serum. This is a perfect gift for a young guy. Click here for the link.

3. Then I want to talk about fragrance, for her I would recommend Giorgio Armani Si. This is my favourite fragrance, it smells of vanilla mix with floral. I think many women would love this fragrance. Click here for the link.

4. A fragrance for men I would recommend getting a guy the new James Bond, Seven aftershave. I just think any guy would love to think they smell just like James Bond, I know my boyfriend would! Click here for the link.

5. And finally I have chosen two christmas jumper options to buy for him or her. The jumper for her is from Next with a cute christmas owl! I personally love anything with a cute animal on it in particularly an owl and I'm sure I'm not the only one! Click here for a link.

6. The christmas jumper for him is also from Next, a snowman snowboarding. The scarf and bobble on his hat is 3D which I think looks so cool. I think any guy would like this sporty/silly christmas jumper. Click here for a link.

And that's my christmas gift guide, there are many other things you could buy as presents but I thought I would narrow it down into three genres! I hope I have given you some ideas.

Nails | Estee Lalonde Nail Art Kit, The Body Shop

I recently purchased this amazing Nail Art Kit by Estee Lalonde who collaborated with The Body Shop.

This is a gorgeous nail set with three lovely colours and a dotting pen to create your own nail art designs. This would make the perfect christmas gift for someone who loves painting their nails.

The kit comes with two different nail art ideas and steps to follow to create the designs. You can see my first attempt at one of them, now I know its not amazing but I plan to develop my nail art skills! I found it very easy to create the dots with the unique dotting tool. The tool has two ends, one end is large circular tip and the other is very small circular tip. This tool is extremely easy to create the dots. I have not tried any other designs yet but as the christmas season is here I may try out a snow flake design or two see how that goes! I think its an amazing tool as you can use this with all other nail polishes as well as the ones which come with the set.

I particularly love the pink and blue shades of the polishes. They are The Body Shop Colour Crush nail polishes. I have had the polish on for about a day and half now and it has hardly chipped. I did add a layer of top coat to protect my design. I would recommend the nail polish.

All in all this is an amazing set and would recommend getting it as a gift for someone for christmas. Click here for a link to the product.

Beauty | The Bodyshop Haul November 2015

I went on another The Body Shop shopping spree recently, as you know I love The Body Shop and I frequently purchase their moisturisers and shower gels.
I only purchased two items on this spending spree, two of my favourite scents from The Body Shop, Smoky Poppy and Honeymania.

First thing I picked up was another Smoky Poppy Body Lotion as it was in the sale at the time and I love the scent. I am about to finish up a bottle of this and this is the first time I have repurchased the same scent from The Body Shop, which shows how much I love it.

The second product I bought was another Body Butter, I bought the fragrance Honeymania, as I love the Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt. As I already know and love the scent I thought I would give the body butter a try. I only use body butters after a hot bath for an extra dose of moisture. I am looking forward to starting on this scent!

And thats everything, what is your favourite scent from The Body Shop?

Fashion | Payday Wishlist November

Hey guys today I wanted to talk about what I am hoping to purchase with my latest payday money. When I make these collages I don't always end of purchasing the things I have chosen but I mostly likely will pick something similar up along the way.

As christmas is approaching I will be spending most of my money on presents for others rather than myself, but I thought I would still share with you what am loving at the moment.

1. Textured Skirt £29.99 from H&M. I love this and thought it would be great for work. The shape looks very flattering and unique, and would go with many things. It would look lovely with a pair of chelsea boots and black tights. Click here for the link.

2. Cable Knit Polo-neck Jumper £24.99 from H&M. I couldn't resist popping this jumper on my list as it looks so cosy and perfect for nights in, in front of the telly with a hot chocolate. It looks so so comfortable and this time of year I become obsessed with jumpers! Click here for the link.

3. Floozie Spot Print Onesie £32.50 from Asos. Again I have another cosy night in item, but its winter now and we all need cosy items to keep us warm! I love this its a really fun print, would make a great xmas present too. Click here for the link.

4. Velvet Vest Top £7.99 from H&M. I have chosen this top as I thought it would be great for the festive evenings. I really like velvet and it I think it is particularly good at christmas. Its different and quirky! Click here for the link.

5. Quilted Lock Cross Body Bag £16.00 from Asos. Every girl needs her standard going out little black bag which will match any outfit. This quilted bag is perfect and looks like the designer styles such as mulberry or chanel. Click here for the link.

6. Pieces Varen Pom Beanie Hat £10. The weather has become a lot colder lately and I am in need of a hat to keep me warm. I need a hat which will go with most outfits. I think this green hat with a faux fur pom pom is perfect! Click here for the link.

And that is everything which I may purchase with this months payday money!

Make Up | Maybeline Brow Drama

I wanted to share my thoughts on this particular brow product. I had mixed feelings about this product at first.

I bought two colours, Transparent and Medium Brown. I intended the Transparent to be used after filling in my brows with a pencil. It is perfect for that, and would recommend it.

The other shade I bought, Medium Brown, was because I wanted to see what a tinted brow gel would be like for my brows. If I use this product on it's own it doesn't create a dramatic look for me as I have very thin haired brows. I have concluded that I do need to fill in my brows before applying a gel. On a no make up day this product is perfect, as it defines my brows enough for a minimal make up look.

In conclusion, I would recommend this product for brows. It took me time to work out how it works best for me and my brows. After taking the time to do this it has made me love this product. So if your not sure at first, keep trying different combinations and you will find what works for you.

What's your favourite eye brow gel?

Fashion | Cardigan Picks for this Autumn/Winter

Today, I thought I would share my pick of cardigan styles for this autumn/winter. I love this time of year as I particularly love snuggling up in chunky cardigans.

1. Lu Lu Stitch Cardigan £30 from Topshop. This is my ultimate chunky pick from my selection. I think this is a staple to have in your wardrobe for the winter. At the moment I am in need of purchasing a new chunky cardigan as my current one is looking a bit tired. This one is perfect I love the colour, it brings a bit of warmth into these wintery times. I think it is also important that this kind of cardigan has pockets. This is an excellent purchase. Click here for the link.

2. Loose Knit Cardigan £19.99 from H&M. This is a great standard cardigan, which isn't too hot and would go with most things. V neck cardigans are my favourite to wear open. Another great staple for the wardrobe. Click here for the link.

3. Jaquard-Knit Cardigan £24.99 from H&M. I picked this cardigan as it is an alternative to a solid colour, you can throw this on and it will finish any casual outfit. It would particularly look lovely over a plain t-shirt and jeans. Click here for the link.

4. Burgundy Fine Knit Ribbed Waterfall Cardigan £14.99 from New Look. This style is a similar cut to the previous with a waterfall detail. These cardigans are perfect as well, as you can just throw them on with a pair of jeans and boots. Click here for the link.

5. Pattern-Knit Cardigan £14.99 from H&M. I mainly picked this cardigan as its the perfect style for work. This is the type I tend to wear to work. I like this one as it has an interesting pattern in the knit. Click here for the link.

That is my pick of cardigans for this Autumn/Winter. What is your favourite style?

Make Up | Make Up Haul

I recently treated myself to some new make up products. I have bought these items over time not all in one go, which is why they may have been mentioned in a previous post but they are very new items.

I'll start from left to right, I picked up a new eyeliner pencil by Soap&Glory, Smoulder Kohl in the shade Coffee Bean. This liner has a pencil sharpener on the end which is very useful when traveling. It is also waterproof and I am constantly trying to find a liner which won't smudge throughout the day.

Then I picked up another Super Liner by L'oreal Paris in black. I have bought this liquid liner pen before and it is amazing and so intense. It is my favourite eyeliner and I was in need of a new one.

I wanted to try out a new mascara and I had heard great things about Maybeline's Lash Sensation mascara, I bought this in Intense Black. I love this mascara it creates so much length and volume it's amazing.

I also picked up a new powder to try, One Heck of A Blot Powder by Soap&Glory. I love the compact style of this product with a great mirror and easy to take around with you.

Finally I bought two eyeshadow pencils, one in the shade Vanilla Sky and the other in Vintage Blush. I thought these two colours would be great light bases for shimmery eyeshadow looks.

And that's everything I have recently bought, what have you bought recently?

Make Up | Autumn Make Up Essentials

It's that time of year when all I want to wear is warm shimmery make up. I wanted to share with you my autumn make up essentials.

Firstly, I will talk about the base I like to use which is Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory. This is a light foundation and I love the way it glads onto my skin. It buffs in beautifully and looks natural with a glow. Then I like to use concealer and a new favourite is the Lasting Perfection Concealer from Collection in Fair. This really brightens under the eyes and covers any redness or blemish on my face.

Next I take my bronzer which is by Bourjois Delice de Poudre illuminator and bronzer duo. I mainly use the bronzer side rather than the highlighter. I take this in the hollow of my cheeks and along my hairline and jawline. For blusher I use my trusty Blush at first sight Rosy Cheeks by Soap&Glory, this highlights as well as gives the cheeks a lovely rosy shade.

Then I like to set my face into place with a powder and I recently purchased this One Heck of a Blot Powder by Soap&Glory. This a lovely light powder which sets everything into place naturally.

Next I like to fill in my brows with the Soap&Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Crayon in Brown. This has an angled crayon end which works beautifully to create the perfect shape. Then I set them into place with the brow gel on the other end. I have reviewed this product in a post a couple of months ago, please go to my archive list to find if you want to read the full review.

For my eyes, I used as a base Maybeline Colour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow pot in the shade Creamy Beige. Then I like to use my Tanya Burr Cosmetics Hollywood Palette, I mainly use Nude Delight and then Bookworm. This combination creates a lovely warm smokey brown eye which suits my blue eyes. Then I like to line my eyes with a little liner, I use L'oreal Super Liner to create a thin line with a small wing. Finally I finish by putting on some mascara, I recently purchased Lash Sensation by Maybeline, this is amazing it really lengthens and gives my lashes volume.

I know I have not put a lipstick in the photos but I either use a lip balm or a nude lip.

And thats everything I am loving using this autumn. What are your go to products?

Beauty | The Bodyshop InstaBlur Review

Today I want to review a new primer I bought not too long ago. I wanted something which will make my make up last all day.

This definitely does keep everything in place all day. It also minimises pores and makes my make up glide on beautifully. I had already heard great things about this product which is why I wanted to try it out. It is quite pricey at £14 but I managed to buy it when The Bodyshop had a special offer on, which they do most of the time so I would advise to keep you eyes peeled for one of them.

This product also has shine control which I believe it does, I have noticed a huge difference to how shiny my face becomes when I haven't used this product.

I would highly recommend trying this out!

Beauty| The Bodyshop, Fuji Green Tea Bath Tea Review

Hey guys, today I want to review a product which I have been loving. This is The Bodyshop's Fuji Green Tea Bath Tea, which are beautifully fragranced bath salts.

I mentioned this product in a haul back in the spring time. This is my second pot, as I really loved it and it creates a lovely spa feeling during my bath. The fragrance is amazing, it is exactly what you imagine to smell if you went to a spa. I find the fragrance very relaxing and calming, it is perfect to use after a long day. I particularly love to use it when I have had an intense work out and my muscles are in need of soothing. This is perfect.

The tea needs the container which you have to buy separately, but once you have it then you can reuse it for the next pot or even another bath salt. I only fill the tea holder half full and find that that is enough to fragrance my bath beautifully.

It is quite a large pot of bath salts and it lasts a very long time if its only used once or twice a week. It costs £12 for the pot and £5 for the tea holder, which is a great price and lasts a long time.

I would highly recommend this product, I love it and it never fails to create a relaxing bath.

Make Up | My Nude Lipstick Collection

Today, I wanted to talk about my nude lipstick collection. I thought I had more lipsticks in nude colours but when it came to gathering them all I only actually have three. I thought about including lip balms but I think I will do a separate post about my favourite lip balms.

Anyway, I love nude lipsticks, I am not one for the bright lipsticks for everyday use, I much prefer low maintenance lip colours. The three nude colours I have are very different from each other even though they are all nudes.

First lipstick I will talk about is a Kate Moss Rimmel London lipstick from the new Nude Collection she released recently. It is in the shade 45 I don't think they have names, its a rosy nude, which I think suits me best on the nude colour spectrum. I find that the only thing I don't like about Rimmel London lipsticks is the smell of them, it does remind me of old lady make up smell. However, that aside it is a great lipstick which lasts very well until you eat some food and then it needs a re-application like most other lipsticks. These lipsticks cost £5.49 but I think they are normally buy one get one half price or something similar. Click here for a link.

Second, I have another Kate Moss Rimmel London lipstick from her original range of colours, this is shade 32. This colour I always struggle with because I'm not sure if it suits me as much as the other two but I do love the colour. It's a coral nude, quite a bright shade but not like a bright red or pink. It's a lovely lipstick just like the other I spoke about before. Click here for a link.

And the last lipstick is from Soap&Glory which is one of my favourite brands. It's the Sexy Motherpucker Gloss Stick in the shade Nudist. Now, a lot of other bloggers have raved about this as well, and I have mentioned it a few times before!  But it is amazing and completes any look. It's moisturising and isn't a sticky lip gloss, this is my go to when I don't have much time as I know is goes with any make up look. I definitely recommend trying this out. I think they have updated the packaging so it might not look like the one in the picture which I have. They cost £3.50 which is an amazing price, and there is normally a 3 for 2 offer on in Boots with Soap&Glory products. Click here for a link.

I love nude lipsticks and that's my collection, can you suggest any other nudes to try out?

Beauty | Zoella Beauty Haul

Hey guys, I recently bought some more Zoella Beauty products. If you have read my previous Zoella Beauty haul you will know that I really love the products and wanted to buy some more! I decided to try out some products from the original range Zoella released.

First of all I choose to buy the body mist called Blissful Mistful, as I have the other body mist and really like them as an alternative to perfume. The original range has a very crisp clean scent, I think the main scent is aloe vera which I love. This body mist is priced at £8, which is reasonable it lasts for about half a day before you might need to reapply it.

The next item I bought was the Fizz Barr which I have already tried before. I like the Fizz Bar as you can choose how much you would like in your bath. And as I have mentioned before I suffer from sensitive skin and I don't like to use too much because it can dry my skin out. I think this is also £5 which is amazing, you would probably get 4 or 5 uses out of it depending on how many squares you use at a time.

And lastly, I decided to buy the Soap Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream. This mainly because I like the scent and I am always in need to bubble bath! I wanted to try this with the Fizz Bar to get the full Zoella Beauty scent in my bath time. This was £5 as well which is very good for a bubble bath, I think it would last for at least a month or two.

That's everything I bought, and I am very excited to use these products!

Fashion | Payday Wishlist October 2015

It's that time of the month again where I am pining for payday! I selected a few things I would like to buy after payday.

1. and 2. are phone cases from the same website, Skinny Dip London, I think these cases are so cute! I have selected these two which are my favourite, I particularly love the goggly eyes on the "angel cats" case. These cases are for the Iphone 5 or 5s. They are so fun and colourful, and at the moment I have a simple clear case for my Iphone and I would love to get one of these to brighten it up. The cat case is £15 and the heart macaroons are £12. Click here for the link.

3. I have selected this gorgeous comfy cardigan from Topshop for £45. As it is starting to get colder I love to snuggle up in a big comfy cardy, and if I nip out to the shops this is perfect at the moment rather than a coat. I love the colour of this cardigan its a terracotta orange shade, very autumnal, would look great with high knee boots. Click here for the link.

4. Next I really would like to purchase some high waited jeans, and the Super High Waisted Joni Jeans have been raved about in the past from Topshop. I think this pair of jeans will be a great staple for your wardrobe. They are £45, which is a standard price for a pair of jeans. I prefer this blue almost black colour of jeans rather than any other colour available. Click here for a link.

5. Finally I would love to buy a pair of slip on shoes from Topshop for £20. I would like a casual pair of shoes like this to wear instead of trainers. Something quick and easy to slip on my feet perfect for autumn. Click here for a link.

And thats my payday wishlist for this month, what are you hoping to purchase after payday?

Beauty | My Bath Time Routine

I was thinking that I haven't done a routine post since my skincare routine back February, so I thought I would share with you what I use when it comes my relaxation session of bath times! This is my favourite time of the day, I especially enjoy it if I have had a long day and have gone for a long run. It's my reward!

I will start by explaining what I like to use on my face in the bath. I think it is really important to give your skin a deep cleanse when in the bath. I always start by taking a flannel soaked in the hot water of the bath and put it in my face to open my pores. Then I use Soap&Glory Peaches and Clean, Deep Cleansing Milk to cleanse and wash my skin. I love the smell of this product and it has something in it which tingles on the skin slightly. I love using it, it really feels like it is cleaning my skin. Click here for a link.

Once I have cleansed my skin I like to use a face mask to clear out my pores. I like to use Dirty Works Detox Mud Mask with Blueberry and Willow bark extract. I put this all over my skin and leave it to dry for 10 minutes. I have spoken about this face mask before in a previous post, the packing has changed recently. I love this face mask, it always helps when I am having a bit of a break out. I highly recommend this face mask, and I use it once or twice a week in the bath. Click here for a link.

My absolute favourite bubble bath to use in the bath is from the Bodyshop, Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt. This stuff is amazing, when I am in need of a very relaxing bath to destress I always use this. The smells is amazing and you don't even need to put that much in your bath. It is a very comforting smell of warm honey. This is £8 which is a great price, it is a great quality product to use in your bath and last for about two months! Click here for a link.

After I get out of the bath I like to use a body butter to deeply hydrate my skin. I have used a few different scents from the Bodyshop, in the picture is my next butter to start on which is Raspberry. I love the fruity scents to use after a bath. The Bodyshop body butters cost £14 which is a lot which is why I only use them after my baths about twice a week. This means they last for a long time and it is more of a treat. Click here for a link to all body butters available.

This is what I use when I want to have relaxing pamper session and I recommend of products mentioned. I would love to hear what kind products your like to use to relax, please leave a comment.

Thanks fro reading.

Skincare | Smoky Poppy, The Bodyshop

Today, I wanted to review the latest products I have bought and used from the Bodyshop. I recently purchased the Smoky Poppy Shower Gel and Body Lotion as they were in the sale.

The smell of this collection is amazing, a beautiful floral scent with a hint of vanilla or cassis for a sweet edge. If you are not keen on the fruity scents from the Bodyshop this is a lovely alternative scent. I think this range was release for valentines day time and I would say it is a very romantic scent.

The body lotion is lovely to use everyday to keep your skin hydrated, I use it in the evenings before I go to bed. They last about a month and half to two if you use it everyday. The shower gel is lovely to use and you do not need to use too much at a time, so it lasts at least two to three months. I have sensitive skin and find that both these products do not affect it, so I would highly recommend if you have sensitive skin but want something that smells nice.

I love all the the Bodyshop shower gels and body lotions, I use them all the time and would recommend trying them out. The shower gels are priced at £4 and the body lotions are £8, which is very reasonable for quality products. I don't think the Smoky Poppy shower gel is available on the website but you can buy the body lotion and the body scrub. Click here for a link to the Smoky Poppy Collection from The Bodyshop.

Make Up | Tanya Burr Cosmetics

A few months ago I bought these two items from the new range of Tanya Burr Cosmetic which Tanya has recently released. She added three eyeshadow palettes and a brow palette. I think after these were released she also released face palettes for cheeks and contouring.

I went for the brow palette as I am a little obsessed with finding the best products to use on my eyebrows. It's a constant hunt! Applying eyebrows with shadows looks very natural. I love doing my brows with this palette it creates great definition. I mix two colours together, Pebble and Hot Cocoa as I find Chestnut is too warm toned for my brows. I would say that this isn't the quickest way to do my brows but it is the most natural way to define them.

I also use this palette on my eyes to create soft smokey brown eyes, it's amazing for that as well. It's an all in one palette. I haven't really used the brush or tweezers yet but they will be great when traveling as I do forget my tweezers sometimes!

I have inserted a photo (below) to show the brow palette where I used it to defined by brow and created a smokey brown eye look. One of my favourite looks.

Using the Brow Palette on Eyes and Brows - Amazing!

The second palette I purchased was the Hollywood Eyeshadow palette from Tanya's collection. I choose this palette as it has neutral colours as well as mixed matte and shimmer shades. They are classics shades which I know suit me and my blue eyes. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and last all day. This palette is great for travelling as it is small and compact with a mirror. What more could you want! Bookworm is my favourite to create warm definition through the eyelid crease. Enchanted is so glamourous and a shade for christmas and new year's parties!

I would recommend giving these products a go! I believe that Tanya has really worked hard and produced some amazing products which are at an affordable price.

Make Up | Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet

Today, I want to review a new lip product I have recently bought. If you read my blog post on The Goodwood Revival you will have seen that I used this lipstick for my 1950's make up look.

This is the second red lipstick I own, I don't tend to wear dark lips or bright lips as they tend to be a lot of work to keep looking perfect all day long. I only wear red lipstick for special occasions.

Instagram photo: nic_beauty

This is a beautiful matte lipstick, I would recommend lining your lips to stop any bleeding round the edges. It did last all day quite well with just one re-application and that was only because I ate lunch. My verdict on it's staying power is pretty good. I do tend to use Lip Lock by Rimmel London to give that extra hold.

I would recommend these lipsticks for special occasion they are a lovely matte lipstick. However, if your lips are dry the lipstick will only emphasise this so make sure to moisturise before application.

Thanks for reading, I hope this post helps you if you are looking for a great, deep red, matte lipstick.

Fashion | My Pick of Boots for this Autumn

Today I want to talk about my pick of footwear, specifically boots for this Autumn. I think boots are one of my favourite types of footwear, so this time of year I become very excited when I these beauties can be dug out of the wardrobe!

1. First up is this beautiful tan coloured pair of boots from H&M for £79.99. These boots are suede so definitely not a rainy day shoe, but a stylish pair of knee high boots to wear on a crisp day. I love them, its nice to have a couple of pairs of heeled boots in your boot collection.

2. Second are these lovely gelly style chelsea boots from ASOS called Gamble Wellies for £20. Number one they are a great price and two they are perfect for rainy days. They look nicer than the classic style of wellies. I also think they look a lot like Ted Baker shoes.

3. Next I have selected another pair from ASOS by London Rebel Chelsea Flats for £40. I like these boots because they are a petite style of the classic chelsea boots. They would be perfect for work or weekends, and black goes with everything. So all round a great pair of shoes.

4. Here are a lovely pair of Buckle Riding Boots from Marks & Spencers for £49.50. These are a casual style boot and would look great with jeans. Perfect for wintery or wet days, you can't go wrong with this style.

5. This pair of boots are a little different, I think I am becoming obsessed with patent shoes this year. These boots are from H&M called, Patent Ankle Boots £29.99, they are very stylish. Would be lovely for work and would go with most outfits. I think these boots would class up any outfits.

6. And lastly is a lovely beige pair of heeled chelsea boots. These boots are very different to the others, not an everyday boot. I love them, they would also class up any outfit. They are from ASOS by Daisy Street, Beige Chelsea Boot £34.99.

That was my pick of boots for this autumn, I hope this has given you some ideas.

Life | The Goodwood Revival

I recently got the opportunity to go to the Goodwood Revival event in Chichester, West Sussex. My lovely boyfriend lives in Chichester I have heard about the many events which happen at Goodwood and this year I finally got to go to one!

This event is all about vintage, vintage clothes and vintage cars. The main eras you can choose to dress as are 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. I am a lover of the 50's so it was a no brainer for me and the look I went for was an Audrey Hepburn inspired look.

The dress I am wearing is from Elsie's Attic, click here for the link . This site has many different styles of vintage dresses to choose from. I am also wearing an organza petty coat underneath to emphasise my skirt. Once I had chosen my dress for this event it was very easy to style my hair and make up around it.

The photographs below show a close up of my make up and I have photographed all the products I used that day to create my 1950's make up look.

A lot of the products you can see above are my staple items I have spoken about before. I wanted to create a clean and contoured look with highlights on the top of my cheeks. I also wanted to get my eyebrows just right as in the 1950's and especially for Hepburn, women loved to really emphasise the arch of their brows.

For this look it was all about the clean red vibrant lip and the striking eyes. I used L'oreal Super liner to create a very big flick on my lids, and then to emphasise my eyes even more I used Tanya Burr Cosmetic's Bambi Eyelashes. I also used Tanya Burr Cosmetic's Eyebrow kit as eyeshadow, to create definition in the crease of my lid before applying my eyeliner.

For my lips I used something new, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in shade 08 Grand Cru. This is a matte liquid lipstick, I lined my lips with my Barry M lipliner to make sure my red lips didn't bleed. Perfect lipstick for this look, it's a dark red which suits me better than an orange red. I will fully review this lip product in a future post.

The day was absolutely amazing, I was transported back in time. I would recommend going next year if you can!
