Makeup | Autograph Eyeshadow Palette

I bought this eyeshadow palette around christmas time, and thought I'd review it for you guys today. Its a selection of natural colours with a mix of matte and shimmers. I am always drawn to palettes with this mix of colours.

The colours are very pigmented so you don't have to use too much to create the look you want. And you can see this in the picture above of them all swatched onto my arm. The palette is excellent for creating any kind of look and does remind me of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. It is cheaper than that palette as well so if you're looking for something similar I would recommend this.

I decided to create a look with the palette for you. First I used Sand on the inner corner of the eye to the middle. Then I took Latte all over the lid. Next I used Brown Velvet on the outer corner and crease. And then for more definition I used Chrome on the crease and to line the lash line of the upper lid lightly. This creates a lovely gold/brown shimmery look and I find this brings out my blue eyes well and matches well with my fair skin.

I would highly recommend trying this palette out. Now I believe the packaging has changed since I bought my version, but I'll link the new one below for you if you'd like to get your hands on it!

Haircare | Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Oil

Today I thought I'd talk about this hair oil, Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Perfector Oil with pure Coconut Oil, which I have been using for about 3 or 4 months now. I'd heard this works really well and keeps your hair in great condition so I thought I'd try it out. And I have to say it is truly amazing stuff!

I have curly/wavy hair and am always looking for products to help stop any frizz, as well as keeping it in good condition without suffocating it. This oil works so much better than any serum I have ever tried. It also makes your hair smell amazing of lovely coconuts! You can apply this oil after you've washed you hair or when its dry and feels it needs a boost you can apply it to the ends. I only really use it when my hair is wet, and its not sticky to apply and doesn't dry crusty like other products I've tried. It feels like you're putting something natural on your hair. As wells as that it does also protect it from heat when styling.

This product is £9.99 and that does seem like a lot for a hair product but it lasts ages. I have been using it for several months and am only half way through the bottle! Also it is usually on special offer in Boots sometimes for around £6. So I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with curly, dry, or long hair. I'll leave a link below for where you can purchase this product.

Makeup | Revlon Lip Butter

Here is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 010 Raspberry Pie. I've heard many bloggers rave about these lip butters and thought I'd try one out. I went for a rich pink colour, its quite a strong look, which I wouldn't wear on an everyday basis but maybe on occasions when I feel like a pop of colour.

This is a very creamy lipstick and is slightly sheer. I love the texture and colour, but the only issue I have is that it's quite high maintenance. It doesn't stay put for very long. Other than that I do really like it, so if you just wore it for an evening rather than a whole day it would be easier to maintain.

In the photos below you can see how it looks on in some delightful selfies! I find that the pink does bring out the blue in my eyes too.

I'll link below where to purchase this lovely lipstick.

Skincare | Dirty Works Face Masks

Today I thought I'd tell you about my favourite face masks. I have been using these for a good 6 months or so now.

I first discover the Dirty Works Berry Berry Detox Mask in Sainsbury's about 6 months ago. It has really made my skin feel that much more cleansed each time I use it. It smells amazing, a lovely fruity blueberry smell with hints of willow bark. This is a clay mask that cleans pores thoroughly. I use this mask twice a week when in the bath to make me feel completely pampered. Its easy to use, isn't expensive and last for at least 2 months. I highly recommend trying it out.

As I loved the Detox Mask so much I thought I'd try another mask by Dirty Works, Rose and Glow Moisture Mask. This face mask is ideal if you suffer from dry skin. I mainly use this one in the colder months. It smells of beautiful roses and I find it makes it a soothing mask to treat myself to. This leaves my skin feeling so soft and gently cleansed. I would also recommend trying this one out.

I will link where you can get these face mask down below, but you can also find them in your local Sainsbury's supermarket.

My Makeup Essentials

These are the staple items I always have in my makeup bag. And If I'm in a rush then these are the items I grab and know work, as well as suit me.

I'll start with face first, and I always use Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory 001. This is amazing because it gets rid of dark circles under eyes so well. I also use it around my nose as I have a lot of redness around that area. It blends really well and even out my skin tone amazingly.

I then like to use Barry M Natural Dazzle Matte Bronzer. This is great for contouring and doesn't break the bank. It also has lasted months and I still haven't hit the pan. It is also great to use as eyeshadow on the crease of the lid for natural definition.

The blusher I use the most by far is Soap and Glory's Love at First Sight Blush in the colour Rosy-Radiance Shimmer Powder. This is a very shimmery blusher which is what I love about it. You don't need to use too much either to get a gorgeous rosy cheek with a hint of shimmer. This blusher is £11 which I consider quite a lot for one item but it has lasted ages and you do not need to use too much.

To set my makeup in place I like to use Rimmel London's Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in Transparent 001. This is a classic which I always hear being recommend by other bloggers and its true it sets makeup in place for hours. It also doesn't look caked on and doesn't break the bank so its a win win all round.

Next I'll talk about eyes, a great base or just as a quick eye look is to use Maybelline New York's 24hr Colour Tattoo Gel-Cream eyeshadow in 35- On and on Bronze. I love this cream eyeshadow it's easy to apply and completely transforms your look. It looks great on someone with blue eyes as well. It also isn't expensive at all, and is an all round great buy!

The mascara I have used for years is No7's Intense Volume in Black. Its a classic for me, it has a natural bristle mascara wand that I prefer to plastic ones. It's not too expensive and normally lasts me about 6 months or longer.

For eyeliner I like to use L'oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim in Black. This eyeliner achieves the best wing liner look. It's comes out extremely black and is easy to apply.

Finally my classic lip colour is to use the Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in Honey Douce 001. It's is a nude pink colour and is slightly sheer. It completes any makeup look and smells of peppermint which I quite like. I would definitely recommend having this is your makeup bag.

I hope this might give you ideas of what to try out in your own makeup collections. I'll link all the items down below.

Barry M | Natural Glow Eye Shadow and Face Blusher Palette

I thought I'd review the Barry M Natural Glow Eye Shadow and Face Blusher Palette. Now I do have to apologise for the state my palette is in I have had it a while now, but shows you how much I've used it! I think this palette is great value for money and an excellent set of colours. It is a good basic item to have in your make up bag.

There are 6 eyeshadows and a blusher on the end. I have to say I have hardly used the blusher I do think they should have added two more shadows instead. However, the shadows which are there are great to create any natural look you'd like. I don't tend to use the little brushes that come with it either. I think Barry M could simplify things with this palette and to just make it about the eyeshadows as they are the best part.

I swatched each colour on my arm and the pigment is pretty good for you money. Especially the 3 darker, shimmery shades. So if you're looking for something that is great quality, but not as expensive as some other palettes this is a good one.

I thought I'd show an example of how I use the palette. This look was using the 4 central eyeshadows. I started by using the cream shade all over, then the light brown shade over the middle to outer corner of lid, then the golden shimmer shade along the crease and outer corner of lid and finally the taupe shimmer shade in the crease and under the outer eye. This creates a subtle look with a touch of shimmer, which is one of my favourite looks. I also find it brings out my blue eyes.

Overall I'd say this palette is a great buy, especially if you are just starting to build your make up collection. And it also doesn't break the bank at its low price. I shall link below where you can find it.
