Nails | Maybeline's Forever Strong Super Stay Nail Polish

I purchased this nail polish recently as I wanted to find something that was light and spring coloured. It's a Maybeline Forever Strong Super Stay Nail Polish in shade Pink in the Park. I am so happy with the colour it is beautiful, and definitely a good colour for spring. I am a lover for pastels on my nails at this time of year. In the past I have not been a pink lover for nails as find its a bit cliche but this year there is something about pastel pink, which I am loving!

This polish is easy to apply it has a great sized brush, so it only takes a few sweeps to coat the nail. I only had to do two layers for the colour to be strong. I have heard that this nail polish has good staying power as well. It is a gel formula so it is stronger than ordinary nail polish.

I would highly recommend this pink polish for this spring time! I will leave a link below where you can purchased this pastel beauty!

Fragrance | Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel Paris

My all time favourite perfume is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel Paris. I have been using this perfume for about 5 or 6 years now. I have fallen in love with it so much I rarely use anything else!

It is a beautiful scent, hard to explain but I'll try. It smells intensely fresh but also light, has a slight floral smell combined with something else giving it a sophisticated edge. I know that doesn't explain it well but if you are interested in it I suggest going into Boots or Fragrance shop and having a smell.

It is a classic and they do, do other products using this scent like shower gel and foaming bubble baths. But as you'd expect very expensive!

Anyway I thought I'd share with you my ultimate perfume and I highly recommend it to you! Do go into your local perfume shop and give it a try!

Makeup | Soap&Glory Haul

I recently purchased some new Soap&Glory makeup products and wanted to share them with you guys!

I bought three items as I think there was a 3 for 2 deal on at the time, which was a plus!

The first item I bought was the Brow Archery a 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush, in the colour Hot Chocolate. I like the look of this item as it has a nice brush on the end to soften out the marks made with the pencil. I also love the colour as it is a cold brown. I have found that other brow products I have used have been too red for my brows and makes it look less natural. I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait to get start using this!

The second item was a Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in the shade Nudist. I have heard great things about these gloss sticks so I thought I'd try them out. I went for the naturalist shade as I was looking for something to use on a daily basis, and that was not too much but gave some definition.

The third item was a Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick Satin in the shade The Missing Pink. I am really into pink lipsticks at the moment, and I loved the look of this nude pink shade. Again, I thought this item could be a great lipstick to use on a daily basis, and is an alternative the gloss stick as it has a satin finish.

I am very happy with my purchases and will give you guys a review on each after I've been using them for about a month to give a true verdict!

Makeup | My March Wishlist

I thought I'd do something a little different for this post. At the moment I don't have a lot of money, so I can't buy all the beauty products I would like. I thought I would show you what I would buy if I could though! There are so many products that people rave about, which I would love to try out! I am going to only talk about two makeup brands, there are more I'm interested in but I thought I'd stick with these two Hourglass and Tarte.

In the first collage I have created I have shown all the Hourglass makeup products, which I have heard great things about and wish for!

1. Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette - These palettes just look absolutely beautiful for a start! And I love all the ranges of colours. If I was to buy one I would go for the top left, Plums.

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette - This is also a beautiful palette. This is of blushes and I don't really have many blushes at the moment so I would love to purchase more. I always like to choose one with a bit of shimmer to give some highlight on the cheek bone.

3. Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil - I am still trying out all the different types of brow products. There are so many to choose from but I have heard that this product is quite easy to use.

This second collage is all about the Tarte makeup products I wish to have!

1. Tartlette Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush - These blushes have also been raved about for a while now. This particular one is a really nice rose nude colour. One day I definitely will purchase some of these blushes.

2. Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation - This is a very light loose powder foundation. I really like the idea of using a foundation like this as I don't think it would feel heavy on your skin at all unlike some other foundations. I think this would sit nicely on my skin.

3. Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara - I want to try out some new mascaras and have heard this one being rave about for a while now.

4. Tartlette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette - This an all matte eyeshadow palette and I do love a change from shimmer. It gives a more natural definition to the eyes. This has a really nice range of colours, and I just really want it!

That's everything that I am wishing for at the moment. Let me know if you like this type of post and I'll write about other things eg. fashion or skincare.

Makeup | Rimmel London Apocalips

I have heard a lot about this product and thought I'd try it out. It's the Rimmel London's Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade 303 Apocaliptic. This is a very bright pink and it definitely makes a statement.

It's an extremely smooth liquid lipstick with a lot of pigment. You don't need to use a lot to create this lip look, in fact it can get messy if you use too much. And as I always say I'd line your lips when using this lipstick to prevent it bleeding over the edges.

Overall this lipstick creates a great and bold look. It is worth the money as you don't use much. I would highly recommend trying this out, and there are many other shades available so you don't have to go for something quite so bold. But I am loving pinks at the moment probably because we are approaching spring! I will leave a link below as usual for this product.

Makeup | Barry M Super Chic Palette

I bought this eyeshadow palette back in December 2014 mainly to add some sparkle to my makeup for the christmas period. This isn't my usual colours but I loved the idea of having some really shimmery eyeshadows to play with. This is the Barry M Super Chic Palette, which is exclusive to Superdrug.

The pigmentation in this palette is amazing as you can see by the swatches on my arm. The only one which doesn't come out amazingly is 1st cream shimmer shadow which also has glitter in there too. But I find it doesn't stay put, which is a little disappointing. However all the other colours are great. I would say though that you might need to use another palette to get the right base colour.

Below I have shown an example of how I use this palette. I used the last three shades and the primer for this look. I first primed my eyes and thats another thing, which isn't great. It isn't very smooth to put on the eyes. Next I used the gold shimmer all over the lid and in the inner corner. Second I used the copper shimmer over the outer corners, into the crease and under the eye. Finally I used the maroon shimmer in the crease and under the eye just in the outer corner.

I have to admit I did go for the most natural colours of the palette, which are my more typical shades. But they have worked very well and I love this look.

I have tried two of the Barry M eyeshadow palettes available now and I have to say I really like the quality. For £6.49 its great value and is an excellent item to have if your just beginning to build your makeup collection. I will leave a link below for this palette.

Makeup | Barry M Lipliner

As in my last post I spoke about how important it is to line your lips when wearing lipstick, I thought I'd share with you my favourite lipliner.

I use the Barry M Lipliners as they are a good price and great quality. I have them in two colours one in a red and another in a bright pink. I find that the colour glides on well and blends with the lipstick well.

Lipliner is a really important product to have in your makeup bag. Especially for bright lips like a red, as it keeps your lipstick from bleeding over the edges of your lips during the time you wear it. I use to always wonder how to stop my lipstick from smudging and becoming messy during the time I was wearing it. Once I learned about how lipliner really works I swear by it now. And I hope you will now too.

This is a great product to use with any lipstick, especially bright and bold lipsticks. And it's only £2.99 which for this type of product is excellent value for money. I will leave a link below as to where you can purchase these from.

Makeup | Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick

I thought I'd share with you my ultimate red lipstick, which I always use if I'm in the mood for a dramatic look.

I normally go for this kind of look on a special occasion for example a wedding, 21st birthday or something like that. I feel so glamorous with a bit of colour on my lips. The one I use is by Rimmel London from their Lasting Finish Collection in colour 164 Tantrum. I prefer a deep true red with my skin tone, as I find that the more orange toned reds really clash on my pale skin.

When applying any bright lipstick it's important to line your lips to stop the colour from bleeding over the edge. It can become quite messy if you don't, so always line those lips! And obviously with a matching colour or as close to the lipstick colour as possible.

I would highly recommend this lipstick as it does last for ages, especially if you use some Lip Lock over the top. I shall leave a link for this gorgeous lipstick below if you wish to purchase it.

Makeup | Real Techniques Brushes

One thing I haven't spoken about yet is what make up brushes I use. I have several different brands I use but one of the main ones in my collection are Real Techniques brushes. I have two sets and I will review them both for you.

The first of my two sets that I have is the Real Techniques Core Collection. These are mainly face brushes for powders, blushes and foundations. Starting from the left is the Buffing Brush and it's great for setting powder into place. Second we have the Contour Brush, which is excellent for applying contour into place without being too much. Third is the Flat Foundation Brush, which I have to say I use this brush the least out of the set as I don't wear foundation very often. Fourth is the Detailer Brush and this is great to use under the eyes or in the crease.

Overall I'd say this set is a great starter set for the face and I would highly recommend purchasing it.

The second set of brushes are the Real Techniques Starter Kit. These brushes are mainly for use on the eyes. Starting from the left this is Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush that you can use for applying eyeliner. I don't tend to use this one as I haven't got a pot of gel liner to try it out with but I plan to in the future. Second is the Accent Brush which is very small and I find great for smudging under the eye. Third is the Brow Brush and is excellent when applying shadow to your brows. Fourth is the Deluxe Crease Brush and this is really good for blending out cream eyeshadows. And finally is the Base Shadow Brush, which I use religiously for buffing in my concealer under the eyes and around the nose. Definitely my favourite brush.

I would say that this Starter Set is essential for creating any look on the eyes and would highly recommend having this in your collection.

I think it's important to have good quality brushes for applying your makeup as it creates the best looks. Also is essential to buff and blend make up well when applying to give a more natural finish. I feel that Real Techniques have some excellent brushes on offer these are just two of the sets available. I shall link where to buy these great products below.
