Make Up | Blue Liquid Liner by Rimmel

Hey guys!

I recently bought a vibrant blue eyeliner by Rimmel. Colour Precise Liquid Liner in the shade Blue. I wanted to share with you how I wear this unusual liner and also give you a little review of the liner.

First with this liner you need to prime your eyes as it does transfer quite easily if you don't. I have been using my trusty Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette to create a very neutral base. I take Cashew Chew shade and put it all over the lid. I then take my favourite shade Almond Truffle on the outer corner and in the crease.

Then I take the blue liquid liner and apply a thin line along the lashes and then flick it out.I have to go over it a couple of times to build up the blue. I do find that this liner does set quite fast so you have to work quite quickly.

Then I finish off the eyes with Thick & Fast Mascara by Soap&Glory.

The blue liner does last fairly well but as I said if you haven't primed it will transfer particularly if you have hooded lids.

I would recommend giving it a go if you want an alternative to black liner.

Haircare | Rainforest Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

Hey guys!

So I recently needed to find a shampoo and conditioner which was completely natural. I have been having trouble with my scalp recently, it has become dry and irritated. I thought I would try out a completely natural shampoo and conditioner to see if it helps my ph balance sort itself out.

I found these two from The Body Shop. They were priced at £4 each for 250ml bottles. It has in it olive oil and aloe vera. Smells lovely I have only used it once so far so I cannot tell it has made a difference or not yet, but the shampoo did not lather like other shampoos which shows it is very natural. My hair was very shiny after I dried it so it does add shine.

It is a very affordable natural shampoo and conditioner. I recommend giving it a go if you have the same problems as me with your scalp.

Make Up | Smokey Brown Eye Look

Hey guys!

Today I want to share a go to look I have been doing using my new favourite palette, Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons. I have already written a post solely on this palette. I have used it non stop since I received it as a gift for my birthday.

I am only going to detail what I have used on my eyes and my lips.

I started with my eyes, normally I prime with The Body Shop Insta-Blur Eye primer, which isn't included in this photo. Then I take the shade Almond Truffle all over the lid, which is a beautiful dark nude shadow. Next I like to use in the outer corner and crease, Mocha. I highlight my brow bone and inner corner of the eye with Divinity.

To line the waterline and upper waterline I use Rimmel London's Exaggerate Eyeliner in the shade Rich Brown. And then finish off the eyes with Soap&Glory, Thick & Fast Mascara.

On my brows I use Soap&Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow pencil in the shade Hot Chocolate. And then set them into place with Brow This Way by Rimmel London in Dark Brown.

The lipstick I used for this look is my favourite nude by Rimmel London in the shade 45. I line my lips first with Rimmel London Exaggerate lipliner in the shade Addition.

And that's my go to look with palette. It is so easy and brings out the blue in my eyes. I highly recommend spending the money on this Too Faced palette it has topped all my other palettes.

Make Up | Mascara Collection

Hey guys!

I want to share with you the mascaras I have been trying out recently and to give you my verdict on them.

First I want to talk about my everyday go to mascara and that is Thick & Fast HD Mascara by Soap&Glory. This has a collagen formula, which is very build-able and lengthens my lashes. This is a very black mascara and I find it very easy to use. The brush has a unique shape as well slightly longer one side and shorter the other. I have occasionally stabbed my eyes with the brush because of the brush shape. Once you get use to the shape it is as I said very easy to use.

The other two mascaras I have are both samples found with magazines. The first is High Impact Mascara by Clinique. I really like this mascara. I tend to use it on days when I don't wear a lot of make up and it makes your lashes very long and intensely black.

Lastly is a sample size of Black Magic Drama & Curl by Eyeko. This is also a great little mascara. It doesn't create as much volume as the other two mascaras but it does create a lovely length and curl. Definitely the most natural looking.

I just wanted to give a shout out to a mascara which I have recently thrown away before I decided to write this post. That's the Lash Sensational by Maybelline. It is a nice mascara which creates so much length and volume to your lashes. I'm not as keen on the plastic brush which is why I purchased the Soap&Glory mascara as it is very similar but a natural bristle brush.

And that's my mascara collection for you!

Please let me know what your favourite mascaras are and if you have any you can recommend I would love to know.

Make Up | My Favourite Make Up Brushes/Tools

Hey guys!

Today I want to share with you my favourite make up brushes and tools. I have created quite the collection over the past, almost 2 years I have become more interested in beauty. I will talk you through these favourites from left to right.

First is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I have just posted about this particular tool, which I love it for applying my foundation or even a BB cream. For my full review please check out my previous post. An amazing product!

Next is a Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Contouring Brush. I use this everyday for contouring and it is amazing I use to use the brush next to it but since I purchased the brush I have not stopped using it. It fits perfectly into the hollows of my cheeks and creates a very natural contour. I highly recommend this brush!

My next favourite is the Contour Brush from Real Techniques Basic Face Starter Kit. However, I stopped using it for contouring and instead use it to set my under eyes and t-zone. Its perfect for this.

The next brush a Zoeva Luxe Brush. This is intended to apply highlighter to the tops of your cheek bones. I use it for just that, and I find it is perfect. It gives your the right amount of control because no one wants to put a ridiculous amount of highlighter!

The following brush is a Crease Brush from the Real Techniques Eye Starter Kit. I love to use this to create matte looks specifically but it is just generally an amazing blending brush. I use it almost everyday!

Finally, I also love to use everyday is the Zoeva Pencil Brush. This is amazing for under the eye and creates the most beautiful smokey eyes.

Make Up | Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hey guys!

I recently bought this sponge, the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I had been finding using brushes for my foundation was not buffing my foundation in as naturally as I wanted. I thought I would try this sponge out and see how naturally it applied my foundation. I love it! It's so easy to use and its quick. It does look more natural than when I use a brush. I also buff in my concealer with the pointy end and it makes everything look effortlessly natural.

The way I use it is to run it under cold water and ring it out before use. After applying primer to my face, I put a blob of foundation on the back of my hand and use the flat edge to apply it gradually all over my face. Then I apply concealer to all areas I need to and use the pointed end to buff this in lightly. The point is especially good to use to buff in round the eyes.

I love it as I said before and highly recommend trying it out with any foundation.

Make Up | Haul!

Hey guys!

Today I have a little make up haul for you.

First of all I want to talk about the highlighting concealer I bought. This concealer appealed to me to use under my eyes. I am really into creating glowing skin and I wanted to create that Kim Kardashian brighting under eye look. This is called Lumi Magique by L'Oreal Paris in the shade Light. It's a tad pricier than I would normally spend on a concealer but I have heard great reviews and want to see what difference it will make to my under eyes.

Next I picked up three eyeliners, yes, this is a bit excessive but I needed a new black liner and the other two are colours I have never seen before! They are called Colour Precise Eyeliner by Rimmel. I bought all the colours Blue, White and Black. I have been looking for a blue eyeliner that had no shimmer and was a matte solid colour for a while. When I swatched this on my hand it look so bold, I had to have it. I thought the white was interesting as well. I look forward to experimenting with these two unique colours. Great for summer! The nib is a great shape too, nice and thin so you can be as precise as you like. Stay tuned for some looks I create with the blue and white liner in the future.

Then I picked up a lip liner from Rimmel as well, this is an Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade Addiction. I purchased this colour as I have bought the shade Eastend Snob which is dusky pink shade. I wanted one that was more of a nude and this colour is perfect for that. I love these retractable lip liners as they are so easy to apply and go with many nude shades.

And finally, I picked up Insta-Dry by Sally Hansen. I am a little obsessed with finding the perfect top coat at the moment and thought I would give this one a go. Sally Hansen is a great brand. I will review after I have used it for at least a month.

That's everything I bought make up wise recently and look forward to creating looks with most of these products.

Make Up | BB Cream by Garnier

Today I want to review this BB cream by Garnier in the shade Extra Light. I have mentioned it in a couple of posts now and I have been using it for sometime now. This is a great everyday product, it's so easy to throw on and it really gives your skin that extra glow. It is very natural on the skin.

I did use this product before in the Light shade. I stopped using it because it was just a bit dark on my skin. When I saw that they brought out an Extra Light version I thought bingo! And bingo indeed, this has definitely become an everyday product.

I particularly like to use this in the spring and summer as it is much lighter than a foundation. It does have a dewy finish, so if you do have oily skin I'm not sure if this would work for you.

I love it and would highly recommend this product.

Make Up | A Glowing Base for Spring

Hey guys!

Today I want to share with you what I have been using on my face to create a glowing spring base. During this time of year I like to go a lot lighter on my make up and try to make it look as natural as possible.

After moisturising my skin I like to prime my skin before applying any makeup. I have gone back to using the 5sec Perfect Blur by Garnier. I like to use this under the Garnier BB cream in the shade Extra Light and think they work really well together. The BB cream is very sheer and just evens out the skin slightly while not being too heavy. I think it also just gives your complexion a glowing look.

Then I like to take my Rimmel Lasting concealer pot in Ivory. I use this on my chin and round my nose and on any other red blemishes I have. For under my eyes I use my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in Ivory. To set that in place I like to take my Contour Kit by Seventeen and use the light powder. I find the slight colour is very brightening and complimentary to the concealers.

For my contour I use the bronze shade from the Seventeen Contour Kit, I think I have this little duo in the Light shade. For blusher I use Hard Day Baked Blusher by Make Up Revolution. I love this blusher, it is an amazing everyday subtle brightening blusher and adds just the right amount of colour to the cheeks.

And finally to highlight I take my Sleek Highlighter palette and use the bottom left lightest powder on the tops of my cheekbones for that extra glow. This highlighter palette is so pigmented you really do not need much, amazing!

And that is it, I have been doing this look most days of April and find it is very glowing and natural. Please let me know in the comments what products you have been using to create a natural spring base.

The finished look
